Those are some of my sculptures

You can find in this section some of my artistic projects like, for instance, designs and production of big stages for concerts like the ones prepared by LEDSCONTROL, the company based in Barcelona that delivers innovative lighting solutions for buildings, public spaces and entertainment venues. Some of those projects have been prepared for the Djakarta Warehouse Project, the biggest dance music festival that takes place every year in Southeast Asia.

In other projects, also prepared and executed by LEDSCONTROL for the BAIA discotheque in the Colosseum Club of Jakarta (Indonesia), I have prepared the interior design (art and light) and painted the art in the walls.

Moreover, you can see as well other type of designs like album covers and others.

Arteca is a service of exhibition and loan of works of art of artists related to Palafrugell (Girona). It is a non-profit service and with the aim of boosting the cultural and artistic life of the population.

If an artist wants to be part of Arteca, the first step is to formalise the donation of an artistic work to the Palafrugell Library. With this action, the work becomes part of the loan fund and the artist is assigned the dates corresponding to the exhibition of his works, which in my case was Mirades in February 2012.

Any person of legal age who holds the card of the public reading system can take a free loan for one month to enjoy it at home. The work I donated was Maria, that has visited numerous homes since 2012.

CONFERENCE ON PORTRAIT: In the Library of Palafrugell I had the honor of giving a lecture about portraits. Here you can see some images of the activity:

FOOD BANK IN CERDANYOLA DEL VALLÈS: The Asociació de Artistes Plàstics de Cerdanyola has prepared an initiative for artists to collaborate with the city’s Food Bank by providing a unique signed work of art for those who bring long-term food. The initiative was a great success, since a  big amount of food was obtained and the pictures were finished immediately. The work I presented was Marc

Clàudia Carreras

Who am I?

When I was a child, I loved to draw and paint. I guess being the daughter of a pre-scholar professor made me very careful in the stroke, the precise choice of colours, attentive to the forms of their figures…

Later on, I began art studies in art school El Balcó in Cerdanyola, where I developed most of my career. Most recently, I’ve improved my knowledge of art with various renowned artists such as Samuel Salcedo and Oriol Teixidor in the School of Ceramics in La Bisbal (Girona) and art courses in Escola Massana Centre d’Art i Disseny (Barcelona).

Currently I combine a passion for painting with my job as architect after completing the Final Degree Project in Architecture in the La Salle University Barcelona (finalist of the Mies Van der Rohe Foundation‘s Prize: Young Talent Architecture Award), having realised part of  my studies, the International Master in Architecture and Sustainability, in the University of Ghent, Campus Sint-Lucas (Belgium).

How do I understand painting?

Regardless of races, sexes and ages, it is true that almost all feelings can be perceived in the face. This is why I am interested in presenting an analytical work on the various emotions and feelings that are transmitted through the expressions of different characters. My workshop is like a small laboratory of colors, textures and techniques that combine to create different works, as you can see here.
