Acting in redundancy stands for a sustainable project that respects the identity and complexity of a place and social environment and that fortifies this location on every layer.
The main objective is to design a sustainable and fragile intervention in the city. The design is a sustainable architectural intervention that takes into account all the interesting characteristics of the surroundings. The project is located in a complex social environment. To understand the fragile essence of the place and the relationship of the context it was developed a research of opportunities of the site.
The design is not only the reflection of functionally and rational limits, but also it is the result of a more intuitive approach which manages complexity to simplicity taking into account the identity and all other characteristics of the place. This way of designing can give an answer to a universal need for authenticity, beauty and humanity. Only by recognizing the tangible and intangible limits and knowing everything about the complexity of the environment, the future users, the causal observer… the creation of a good architecture project is possible.
The key to this conscious and coherent project is to provide added value to the environment by removing redundancy and add respectful contextual interventions.
